Captain Mike reports a very good morning half day trip. A slow drift in the morning made for some great fishing on spro jigs. Around 10am the wind picked up and the bait rigs started to take over. High hook managed 4 keepers with most having 2-3 each. Some bigger fish on the beach today with 3 fish over 5 pounds. Lots of shorts and plenty of sea bass also made a appearance. Both half day trips are scheduled to sail tomorrow.
Captain Rich decided to stay close to home and fish the beaches on the 7-4 fluke trip with very good results. A light crowd of anglers had plenty of fishing time to put a hurting on the fluke. Most people went home with 4-5 fish each with some managing to catch a limit. Nothing huge for the pool but a fine 26” fish took it all. A few scup and some small blue fish also made it over the rail. We have had some calls for tomorrow and we are scheduled to sail tomorrow morning at 7am.
