Capt. Matt reported his morning half day charter CRUSHED the fluke very close to home. The Michael McVeigh group just put an all out assault on the fluke this morning with the entire boat hooked up drift after drift. Hi hook probably had around six keepers. EVERYONE had keepers and Mike’s group easily put a half dozen jumbos in the boat with the best going around six pounds. Some nice sea bass, a few big porgies as well mixed in and best of all this outstanding fishing was very close to home! Just about all of this damage was done on Rental Rod set ups. In addition to the mega pile of keepers accumulated by Mike’s group in such a short period of time, the anglers were kept very busy with the shorts as well with hi hook throwing back nearly 30 fish!!
Capt. Matt reported his PM half day charter aboard the Admiral Frances did not meet with the same results as the morning trip but they still found some nice keepers to 5lbs and an equal number of nice size sea bass to 4lbs and a good amount of shorts to keep the interest up. We thank the Bob Laliberty group for their patronage today. Still plenty of prime charter dates available. Private Charter information can be found on our web site in the “private charters” section and if interested call the office and speak to Tammy, Cory or Roger for further booking details.
Capt. George was also quite pleased with the results on his half day morning charter. The Karen Hanecak group amassed a nice mess of good size fluke plus some super size sea bass to over 4lbs, a few big porgies and one fine blue fish of about 8lbs along with plenty of shorts to keep anglers busy and attentive at the rail.
Tonight’s Striper trip is a go and there is plenty of room should anyone be interested in attending. Just call the office to make a reservation. Tonight’s Striper trip will be set to sail at 7pm with Capt. Ray aboard the Lady Frances.
There is no squid/combo tonight but next week we are planning to go both Friday and Saturday Nights at 7pm so if interested call the office to make a reservation or book on line.
Capt. Mike reported some keepers and shorts kept his half day morning crowd rail side on this morning’s half day trip aboard the Lady Frances. The report from the half day PM trip was okay with some nice keepers to 5lbs and some nice big sea bass to 4lbs plus a bunch of shorts. Tomorrow we have two half day trips to offer and the weather looks great!!! First half day boat will set sail at 8am and 1pm for the afternoon trip, both on the Lady Frances.
Capt. Rich and Capt. Cory reported a good day of fluking on the full day boat. At least a couple of limit catches and a good number of anglers aboard had several nice keepers apiece to take home. No monsters today with the best around 5lbs. A nice handful of sea bass to 3lbs including at least one sea bass limit plus a few nice blue fish and some tremendous action with big sand sharks (not spiny dog fish the smoothies!!) The smooth sand sharks make for some great eating and fine sport on fluke tackle. A respectable amount of shorts to keep things moving right along today. Capt. Cory reported all terminal gear seemed to work pretty well with spros, bait rigs and whole squid all being responsible for putting some nice fish in the bags and coolers of the customers aboard the Gail Frances. Capt. Rich looks forward to another beautiful day on the water tomorrow with the Gail Frances set to sail at 7am.
