First mate Cotes reported a slower morning half day trip. Lack of drift made for a tough day of fishing. High hook managed to ice 3 fine keepers. Pools fish for the mornings trip was around 4 pounds. Spro jigs had the most action with the slow drift. The afternoons half day had better action with more wind and tide.
Captain Mike was at the helm of the Patel private charter and found much better results this morning. A small group manged to catch 25 keeper fluke to 5 pounds. They as had some nice sea bass to around 3 pounds mixed in.
Captain Rich reported another good day on the full day fluke and sea bass boat. Rich headed down to one of his favorite spots in search of some monster fluke. Pool honors went to Andrew from North Bridge MA. with a fine 10 pound slab. There were a few limits around the boat as well. Much more sea bass today with the whole boat leaving with there limits. All forms of tackles worked today. A few bluefish and scup rounded out todays catch.
All trips for tomorrow are scheduled to set sail as normal tomorrow.
