Capt. Matt reported an okay morning half day. The drift was very very fast and the fluke were not all that aggressive today and many of them were not hooked all that well either. Lots of short bites today, in fact Roger commented that he only got a hook into about a quarter to a third of the fish that he felt bite! Fluke can be mighty cagey creatures. A well done shout out to mate Greg, who on a busman’s holiday this morning, had the hi hook honors for the trip and left Roger far behind in the dust! Some nice fluke to just under 4lbs and a nice handful of sea bass to 3lbs and some shorts did please anglers today. Some big sea robins and one smooth dog fish added a bit more excitement to the morning’s run as well. Rental Rod set ups and other types of long leader bait rigs produced the best. The afternoon trip brought a nice mix of keepers to 5lbs and lots of action with the short fluke to keep things nice and busy. Hi hook had five keepers and just about everyone aboard took home a keeper or two for dinner! Two half days set for tomorrow aboard the Lady Frances with the first setting sail at 8am and the next at 1pm with Capt. Mike.
Just a reminder there is no half day morning trip on this Sunday morning ONLY! There will be a trip Sunday Afternoon at 1pm.
Capt. Rich reported another great day on the 7am full day Fluke/Sea Bass boat with again a full boat limit of sea bass to over 5lbs and many anglers not keeping any sea bass under 2.5lbs!! A nice shot of fluke to nearly 7lbs as well today with some anglers icing several nice fluke apiece to go along with their limits of sea bass. A couple nice scup but the blue fish were absent today. All of this despite a very fast drift and some much breezier than expected conditions. Capt. Rich looks forward to a less breezy and beautiful weather and fishing day tomorrow with the Gail Frances set to sail at 7am.
Capt. Mike and first mate Troy reported the Chris Peterson Full Day Fluke Charter enjoyed some very nice fluking close to home. Hi hook had 7 nice keepers and most of the anglers aboard had two to five keepers apiece. Biggest around 5lbs. A few hefty sea bass mixed in plus plenty of action with the short fluke to keep things quite busy. Everyone left with a nice bag of fish today on the Captain Frances.
