Capt. Matt was pleased to report that the Arnold Ziesse Half Day Morning Private Charter CRUSHED the fluke down along the beach! The action was violently fast paced at times with first mate Troy and Capt. Matt running up and down the deck of the Admiral Frances netting one nice fluke after another. Tremendous action with the short fluke as well and at times almost every one would be hooked up!! A few nice scup and sea bass thrown in for good measure as well. Hi hooks had upwards to at least a half dozen nice keepers apiece. Biggest fish was at least 6lbs and there were several other nice slabs over 4lbs. One picture appears today courtesy of Roger. The action was once again generally on bait rigs with the Rental Rod set ups leading the productivity pack for this morning half day charter. Still plenty of prime dates available for private charters so check out the private charters section of the web site and call the office if interested in further booking details. Please ask for Roger, Tammy or Cory.
Capt. Mike and Nicky Blount agreed on a very nice half day morning of fishing aboard the Lady Frances. Nicky was hi hook with five nice fluke and Nicky also iced a mammoth 17 inch scup that he caught using a double small spro set up. Mr. Pak had the biggest sea bass of the trip with a fine 4lbr. At least a few other noteworthy scup and sea bass joined the fluke this morning aboard the Lady Frances. Plenty of other nice keepers and lock and load action on the shorts made this gorgeous summer morning of fishing even more memorable. The afternoon trip was every bit as impressive with a fine 6.5lb slab taking the big fish honors, plenty of other keepers and lots of action with the shorts keeping anglers entertained at the rail. Remember tomorrow there is only one half day at 1pm on the Lady Frances.
Capt. Rich reported a good day on the Gail Frances with a very enthusiastic turnout of fluke and sea bass enthusiasts! The sea bass were just a bit more relaxed in their feeding behavior today so while there was no boat limit there certainly were many anglers who were limited out. Still lots of bomber sea bass in the three to five pound range with the best a bit over 5lbs according to the crew. Congrats to Billy Trevere from NJ who at the end of the day managed to lead safely to the net a behemoth 11lb slab! Way to go Billy!! Billy’s big fluke fell victim to a hi lo Peace Token Tackle special squid rig. A couple pictures of Billy’s slab are provided courtesy of Roger. Next biggest fish was 7lbs and there was a trio of fish in the 5 to 6lb range. Hi hook on the fluke took home four keepers. A few scup and one small blue fish topped off the fluke and sea bass catches today. All terminal gear was reported to have worked about the same today and no particular type produced better results than the other. Capt. Rich looks forward to another beautiful summer day on the water tomorrow with the Gail Frances set to sail at 7am.
