Captain Matt was at the helm of the Gail Frances for today’s full day trip. Matt came in to the office with a smile on his face and reported very good fishing.Fishing in the morning started out on the slower side but around 10am the switch flipped. High hook managed to catch 15 keepers, with 4 other people catching over 10.( only retaining limit) A few 8 pounder battled it out for the pool. Matt also reported that today fish were on the larger size today with nearly 25 fish over 4 pounds. The short fish were also out in force keeping the rods bent. Nearly 2 dozen blue fish to 14 pounds rounded out today’s catch. Captain Rich will be back at the helm tomorrow for a 7am sailing time.
Captain Mike ran the morning half day with a very light crowd. The weather man seemed to scare the people away. The water seemed to be starting to clear up and the fluke were on the chew. High hook captured 3 keeper fluke. Pool fish this morning was around 4 pounds. Just like the full day boat the small fluke action was very good. Captain Mike did report a little it better trip this afternoon. we will be sailing both half day trips tomorrow at 8am and 1 pm. Remember if you fish both half days you get a 15$ discount on the afternoon trip.
