The report from Capt. Rich and first mate Troy was of a nice day on the full day boat with a pretty even mix of both good size fluke to 6.5lbs and jumbo sea bass up to 5lbs. There were many sea bass limits around the boat and longtime regular James easily limited out on fluke with fresh caught baby squid that he caught off the galilee docks before his trip today. There were a number of other anglers who had several nice fluke apiece to go along with their sea bass. As far as terminal gear went for the rest of the folks Troy and Doug both reported everything worked about as equally as well. A few scup and blue fish mixed in as well. Capt. Rich looks forward to setting sail tomorrow morning at 7am aboard the Gail Frances.
Capt. Matt reported an excellent morning half day with plenty of keepers and lots of shorts to keep the anglers occupied. A nice mix of keeper fluke and black sea bass with biggest fluke around 5lbs and biggest sea bass around 4lbs. A good many of the anglers aboard went home with fresh fish for at least one or two good meals. The pm half day was slower although the bite did pick up towards the later part of the trip. An equal mix of fluke and sea bass with some shorts. Two trips scheduled for tomorrow. The first to set sail on the Lady Frances at 8am and the second to set sail on the Admiral Frances at 4pm.
Tomorrow we will also have the 9am to 3pm porgy trip ready to set sail on the Admiral Frances with Capt. Matt and first mate Troy.
