Captain Matt reported a good day overall on the full day fluke and sea bass boat. Drifting at less then .2kts for most of the day made for some tough fluking. When the tide changed around 1 the fluke started to chew. A few people managed to go home their limits or very close to it of fine fluke, But the fluke were not as spread pout as we would have hoped for. Pool fish was around 7 pounds caught on a plain jane bait rig. Spro jigs did the most damage because of the slow drift. The sea bass seemed to be hide from the heat today, but some anglers still managed to catch sea bass limits. Captain rich will be at the helm tomorrow.
Captain Mike called in to say that the half days were both very good. The mornings half day saw plenty of action on fluke to 5 pounds. Some nice sea bass in the mix as well. High hook went home with 3 fine keepers. The afternoons trip was slightly better with some larger fish. The pool winning fish is pictured below. It was a fine 27″ slab going between 7-8 pounds. This year as been better then ever. This is the time to get out and get your bent. Both half days are sailing tomorrow morning and afternoon.
