Captain Matt reported a tough day on the full day fluke boat. Terrible fluking conditions made for a tough day.Very dirty water, ground swell and wind against tide. High hook honors went to Tony Pak who managed to catch 4 keepers. Pool fish was around 9 pounds. Quite a few sea bass limits made up for the slower fluke fishing. High hook caught 12 keepers( only keeping their limit). Some monster sized blue fish rounded out today’s catch. Captain Rich will be at the helm tomorrow morning at 7am.
Captain Mike also reported slower half day fishing today. The mornings trip saw some decent fishing with fish up to 4 pounds. Not alot of short fluke with most fish that came over the rail going home. The afternoons trip was the exact opposite. Lots and action with lots of fishing swimming another day. Pool wish was again around 4 pounds. The half day trips are targeting fluke and sea bass. We will sailing tomorrow morning at 8am and again at 1pm for the half day trips.
There will be no scup (9:00 a.m. to 3:00 trip) fishing this week. Hopefully we can get the trips in next Thurs., Fri. & Sat. but be sure to call ahead to confirm. Also, there will be no Night Combo trip on Saturday night but we WILL have the Night Striped Bass trip and there is plenty of room on that trip.
There will be NO Cod fishing this coming Sunday July 28th. The next scheduled trip will be Aug 4th
