The word from the Striped Bass crew last night was of very good fishing. A lot of nice keeper bass up to 25 lbs pleased anglers aboard including at least a handful of limits. A big marked improvement from Saturday’s action. Plenty of room on tonight’s trip so call the office if interested in booking a reservation. Weather looks great the next three nights for bass fishing and we are planning to go each night at 7pm with Capt. Ray at the helm.
Capt. Cory reported this morning’s half day had a nice mix of big fluke to 7 lbs and a equally impressive mix of nice sea bass to over 3 lbs but the big news today was the baby mako that found a fluke rig too hard to resist. The little guy was photo op-ed and quickly let go to be back about his business. A photo of the mako will eventually be posted above today’s report courtesy Capt. Cory. Next half day trip is set to sail at 4 pm today.
Capt. Rich reported a good day of fluking today. There were a few limit catches and lots of anglers going home with several nice keepers apiece. Pool fish was around 7 pounds and there were a good number of fish in the 3 to 5 lb range. It was all fluke today outside of a few blue fish. Tomorrow looks like another great weather/fishing day and Capt. Rich will set sail at 7 am aboard the Gail Frances.
