Captain Matt reported a banner day of fluking on the full day boat. Nearly everyone leaving with a limit of fine late season fluke. Over 20 limits catches were taken today. High hooks were tied at 16 keepers. The shorts were also out in force with some angler saying they caught over 30 fish.Today’s pool fish was around 9 pounds. Quite a few fish in the 4-6lb range. Some sea bass and blue also made it over the rail. The first 2 drifts of the day saw over 100 keepers. all forms of terminal tackle worked with bucktails leading the way. Captain Rich will be setting sail tomorrow morning at 7am.
We are planning on extending our fluke season until further notice. The fishing has been so good this past week we are going to push the start of our cod season back 1 week. WE WIll BE FLUKE FISHING UNTIL 9/20. COD WILL START SEPTEMBER 21ST.
