Captain Rich reported another good day on the full day fluke boat. A decent crowd of anglers wanted to catch some late season fluke. The drift was much more manageable today. High hook had 10 keepers with many anglers catching a limit or with in striking distance. Pool fish today was around 7 pounds with many nice fish in to 4-6lb range coming over the rails. All forms of tackle worked today but the long rigs and big baits still had the edge. More sea bass today then Rich has been seeing as well. Captain Rich is scheduled to set sail tomorrow morning at 7am.
Captain Ray also reported a good day on the local scup boat. A light crowd of anglers started catching scup as soon as the anchor was tight. Plenty of 2 pound scup coming over the rail. The quality of the fish has been good with not many short fishing being caught. Captain Ray is scheduled to set sail tomorrow morning at 7am.
Captain Mike was at the helm today with the Douglas Plumbing charter and reported good fishing. Many anglers catching a limit of fine slabs to 7 pounds. Mike also found some nice sea bass mixed in with “jo” fluke.
