Captain Rich was happy to report a good day of local codfishing. A healthy crowd of anglers came down this morning to fish after the hard NE wind all last week. Anglers were treated a a trip with 6 different types of fish coming over the rail. Captain Rich reported the scup and sea bass were so every where he went. Many anglers leaving with both sea bass and scup limits. The cod bite was great as ell with all fish that came over the rails being keepers. Captain Rich also said the size of the fish was large with 6 fish over 20 pounds battling it for pool honors. Tony Pak did take the pool honors with a nice 22lb fish. There was also 20 other fish over 10 pounds. Bait was the way to go today with all fish today. As of now 3 mates are still on the stern of the Lady Frances fileting today’s catch. Captain Rich will be back at the helm this coming Wednesday hoping for similar results.
The Admiral Frances is scheduled to set sail tomorrow morning at 7am for Scup and Sea bass. The office will open before 6am for all ticket and tackle sales.
