TATOUG CRUSH ON THE LADY FRANCES TODAY!! FULL BOAT LIMIT AS THE TASTY CRUSTACEAN CRUSHING CRITTERS BIT THEIR HEADS OFF!!
Capt. Mike reported an all out tog crush today on the Lady Frances with a full boat limit! Capt. Mike mentioned a lot of quality fish a dozen or so fish in the 8 to 9 lb range and a few bigger ones in the ten pound range to battle it out for the pool with the winner around or just shy of 11lbs. There were plenty of shorts as well to keep everyone’s attention plus lots of short sea bass, a few keeper sea bass and at least one keeper cod fish and several red hake. For all the “fair weather” fishermen who stayed home today the day turned out to be very fishable and the fish just bit their heads off! Just a relatively modest crowd of anglers came out today to enjoy the superb fishing, mild temperatures and a modest breeze at best, too bad more anglers did not decide to join us on yet another outstanding day in a so far awesome black fish season! The black fish boat will set sail at 7am tomorrow morning with Capt. Mike at the helm of the Lady Frances. A few pics today provided courtesy Capt. Mike.
There will not be a cod boat tomorrow due to the high winds forecasted on the cod grounds. Right now Wednesday looks like a chilly but beautiful day on the water and Capt. Rich will be ready to set sail at 6am for cod fish.
Capt. Rich reported a great day of fishing today on the Gail Frances. A full boat limit of big sea bass to over 4lbs along with a respectable pull of market size cod fish, some hubcap size porgies and a few good size red hake and ocean perch made for a festive day on the local cod grounds. It sure was busy fishing!! Biggest cod just shy of the ten pound mark today. As stated above looks like the next cod trip is set to sail this coming Wednesday at 6am with Capt. Rich aboard the Gail Frances.
