Capt. Matt reported an okay day of fluke fishing east and south of Block Island today. Again the fish were just not all that spread out and the big producers today for two NJ anglers were big gulp worms of some sort fished on buck tails of some sort and no other details were available. Both of those anglers limited out. Biggest fish was 8 lbs but a 6 lbr took the pool. There was some quality though with about a dozen fish in the 5 to 6 lb range. A near limit of sea bass up to 4 lbs and some nice size scup. Capt. Rich sets sail tomorrow morning at 7am aboard the Gail Frances.
This morning’s half day was the better of the two trips. Biggest fluke was 7.5 lbs this morning. Two half days tomorrow and both will be aboard the Admiral Frances with the first set to sail at 8am and the second at 1pm.
