First mate Troy reported a real mixed bag today on the last full day Fluke fishing trip of the 2015 season. There were a handful of nice keeper fluke, some good size sea bass to 4 lbs, some slammer porgies in the 1.5 to 3 lb range, and another healthy showing of market size cod fish. Hi hooks had 4 and 3 keeper cod respectively and there were some short cod released also. The unmentionables were worth a mention today but the mixed bag of critters more than made up for their presence. We would like to thank all the anglers who sailed with us on our full day fluke trips this year. Weather looks mint this weekend and the Gail Frances will be sailing both days at 7am for codfish and the trips will also likely feature some sea bass and porgies.
The tuna trip which just came back was reported to be slow. There just was not much bite. Maybe the weather was too nice?!? We try again tomorrow and there are still some spots unreserved. Capt. Mike will set sail on the Lady Frances at 7am and return sometime during the afternoon on Sunday.
