Capt. Mike reported a solid day of early season fluke fishing aboard the Gail Frances. There was one limit catch and other fishers who had several nice keeper fluke apiece to take home. Drift conditions were a bit slow the jigs persevered. Biggest fish was reported to be around 5 lbs. Quite a few shorties as well. Next fluke trip sets sail tomorrow at 7 am aboard the Gail Frances with Capt. Rich at the helm.
Some big fluke are showing up as well as a couple of fish in the 6-7 plus pound range were weighed in the Capt. Tackle recently. Also the fluke seem to be showing in a lot of different areas so things look very good for not quite the middle of May.
Tonight’s squid trip is a go!! Plenty of room as well so just be in the office before 7 pm to purchase your ticket(s) if interested. The squid trip is set to sail aboard the Gail Frances.
