Roger reported respectable squid fishing last night for a light crowd of fishers. As the night wore on the fishing got better and better and some fishers wound up with half of a five gallon pail of squid . Mixed sizes but still some really nice stuff. Just a couple small fluke, small blue fish and jumbo throwback sea bass mixed in for those who tried fin fish fishing. Tonight’s trip is a go! Plenty of room so if interested please call the office to make a reservation. The Gail Frances will set sail tonight at 7pm. Photos courtesy of deckhand Greg.
The report from Capt. Matt on the morning half day was of wind against tide and slow fluking. A few nice ones but slower than we had hoped for. Tomorrow is a new day and the Admiral Frances will be set to sail at 8am tomorrow morning with Capt. Mike at the helm for the morning half day.
The report from Capt. Matt on the PM Half Day Charter for the Christopher Cordo group was of some very busy fluke fishing along the south shore of RI this afternoon and anglers also threw back plenty of sea robins and some nice sea bass. Some good keepers in the mix too.
Capt. Mike reported a slow day of fluke fishing aboard the Admiral Frances on the full day today. Wind against tide issues plagued them as well. Nevertheless longtime regular Will from CT took the pool with a fine 5 lbr. Some shorts as well and sea bass to throw back to keep interest up at the rails. Capt. Rich will be set to sail at 7am for the full day aboard the Gail Frances.
