First mate Capt. Matt reported an excellent day of fluking with Capt. Rich aboard the Gail Frances. Well over 100 keeper fluke made it aboard the boat today and everyone went home with at least a few fluke and about a half dozen fishers including longtime regular customer Rick from Belchertwon MA, bagged a full limit catch each!! It has been a LONG time since we could say that! There were half a dozen fish in the 5 to 8 lb range with two of them around 8 lbs battling it out for the pool. A handful of other good size fluke and the rest were just really nice keepers. A ever so slight trade off of a few less sea bass but still a respectable amount and still some fishers who had a limit catch of them. A handful of good size scup as well. Capt. Rich will be back at the helm tomorrow, ready to set sail aboard the Gail Frances at 7 am.
Capt. Mike reported better results this afternoon than this morning on the half day fishing trips today. A 5 lb fluke took the pool on this afternoon’s run. Some fishers did manage a sea bass limit this afternoon. Both half days on tap tomorrow with the first setting sail at 8 am and the second at 1pm.
