AUGUST 21ST COD TRIP SOLD OUT!!!
Capt. Mike reported respectable half day fishing today on both trips but the bigger sea bass were more cooperative on the afternoon run. Just a very few keeper fluke between the two outings. Two half days on tap tomorrow with the first set to sail at 8 am and the second at 1pm.
Capt. Rich reported solid fishing today aboard the Gail Frances but definitely a case of the haves and the have nots. Some did well and others did not but quite a few fishers put several nice fluke apiece and a limit of sea bass in their coolers/bags. A couple of blue fish and a couple nice scup mixed in as well. It was a fairly quick drift as well. Biggest fluke of the day was around 8 lbs but there were other quality fish in the 5 to 7.5 lb bracket. Longtime regular customer Tony Battalino and his buddies Willy and Chuck from CT had a nice pile of good size fluke including a pair of 7 lbrs, they totaled 20 nice toothy flatties and also had an easy limit of good size sea bass. Tony reported white buck tails to be the hot ticket tackle item today. A picture of the catch appears below courtesy of Mr. Battalino. Quite a few sea bass overall aboard the Gail Frances. Some great weather on tap for tomorrow and Capt. Rich will be set to sail at 7 am aboard the Gail Frances.
