Last night’s bass trip for a small group of fishers was wildly successful with a full boat limit and back to the dock early. Sizes to at least 30 lbs, with other nice fish in the 20’s. Still plenty of room on tonight’s outing set to sail with Capt. Matt at 7 pm, call the office to make a reservation if interested. More details will be provided later!
First mate and General Frances Fleet Manager Cory Blount reported a solid day of fishing aboard the Gail Frances with some good size fluke to 7 lbs, plenty of sea bass limits around the boat with sizes to 4 lbs and some slammer scup up to 2.5 lbs. A number of fishers had several nice fluke apiece to take home. Best bite was in the morning for whatever reason. Longtime regular customer Mike Kwok from Palisades Park NJ was the pool winner today with his fine 26 inch 7 lb slab, the first fish in the boat!! Tomorrow is another day and Capt. Rich will set sail at 7am aboard the Gail Frances and the weather looks as good as today’s which was about as good as it gets in early August!
Capt. George reported a good afternoon of half day fishing for a very light load of fishers with a nice showing of fluke and sea bass for patrons aboard the Admiral Frances. The best showing of fluke in some time on this afternoon’s half day. The quality of the fluke was good with most fish in the 3 lb range or a bit better but it was a handsome sea bass of 4.5 lbs taken by longtime regular customer Tom Lombardi of Charlestown RI that took the prize money this afternoon. Way to go Tom! Two half days on tap for tomorrow with the first setting sail at 8 am aboard the Lady Frances and the second at 1pm aboard the Admiral Frances.
Owner Christine Blount reported a solid morning of half day fishing with a nice mix of sea bass and some good size porgies. Just one fluke, a fine 5 lbr caught by Christine herself! Some great pictures showcasing some angler hi lights provided by Christine below.
