Captain Rich reported a decent day of fishing during the full day trip aboard the Gail Frances today. Overall, anglers landed more fluke than black sea bass, in addition to some scup mixed in. The keepers were mostly “quality fish”, with the pool-winning fluke weighing in at around 9 lbs! One angler managed to catch his limit of fluke today, as well.
Captain Mike reported that the morning half day trip was on the slower side, due to poor drift conditions. However, a few nice fluke and some nice black sea bass graced the decks of the Lady Frances. The pool winner from the morning trip was a 5.5 lb fluke. Captain Matt reported a good afternoon half day trip, during which anglers picked away at the black sea bass (steady action of both shorts and keepers), and managed to land some nice keeper fluke as well (several in the 4 lb range). The pool winner was reported to be in the 6-7 lb range.
Tomorrow, all fishing trips are scheduled to sail (despite the forecasted chance of showers). The full day boat leaves at 7AM, with the half day trips departing at 8AM and 1PM.
