Due to the forecast, tonight’s bass trip has been cancelled.
First mate’s Capt. Ted and Capt. Matt reported a good day of fishing on the Gail Frances. A good number of fluke and an even better number of sea bass pleased a moderate group of enthusiastic fishers today. Hi hook boxed seven nice fluke and there were a few others who had a half dozen keepers and a bunch more who boxed four or five nice keepers each. Numerous sea bass limits. Several fluke in the 6 lb range battled it out for bragging rights with most of the keepers nice fish in the 20 inch range. Biggest sea bass of the day threatening the four pound mark. A few dozen nice size scup to 2 lbs mixed in as well. Everything it seemed, had some success today aboard the Gail Frances although individual scores did vary some fisher to fisher. Better weather on tap tomorrow and Capt. Rich will be set to sail aboard the Gail Frances at 7 am.
Capt. George reported a great afternoon half day charter. A real nice catch of big fluke with most of the fish in the 4.5 to 6 lb range!! A nice bunch of good size sea bass too. All hands on deck left with a nice bag of fish.
Tomorrow looks like a great day for half day fishing with the Lady Frances set to sail at 8 am and the Admiral Frances at 1pm.
