The report from last night’s bass crew was that despite what seemed like ideal conditions the fishing just did not match up. Just a few bass and a couple blue fish. Tonight’s trip has been CANCELLED!
The whale watch today is CANCELLED due to the weather expected offshore. The afternoon half day fishing trip has also been canceled due to weather conditions.
Capt. Keith reported the half day morning fishing trip found some keeper sea bass, some nice porgies and plenty of short sea bass and a few short fluke.
Two half days on tap tomorrow with the first setting sail at 8 am on the Lady Frances and the second at 1pm.
Capt. Rich reported an okay day of fishing with a respectable amount of fluke and sea bass and some nice porgies. A school of blue fish also showed up today to provide some additional excitement for the fishers aboard. Biggest fluke around six pounds with a couple of other five pound fish right behind. Hi hooks had upwards to 4-5 fluke apiece and some fishers had a limit of sea bass. Tomorrow sounds a bit less breezy and certainly it will be cooler on the water than on land, Capt. Rich will set sail at 7 am aboard the Gail Frances.
