Quick update: Due to Tropical Storm Hermine’s effects of the ocean, the LONG RANGE TUNA TRIP scheduled to leave MONDAY (9/5) night has been CANCELED.
All of tomorrow’s trips are CANCELED due to the weather. Things do not look much better for early in the week as well.
Night fishing for bass is done until next year unless otherwise noted.
This morning’s half day saw some nice sea bass and a few good fluke mixed in among lots of little sea bass and some short fluke. Picture courtesy owner Christine Blount.
First mate Greg reported an okay day aboard the Gail Frances. Just a few handfuls of fluke to six pounds and decent numbers of keeper sea bass with some angler limits but not quite the sizes of yesterday. What was very large was the porgies with some of then more than 18 inches in length!! No fishing for tomorrow as stated above. Some pictures today provided courtesy longtime regular customer Ginny Reed.
Capt. George reported just okay fishing aboard the Admiral Frances for the afternoon half day fishing trip. Some sea bass, a handful of nice fluke and a few scup and lots of small fish of all three varieties to keep things sort of busy but a little less keeping than we would have liked to see. Anyways that wraps up the half day season for 2016 and we would like to thank all the fishers who fished with us this past season and helping to make it a great one! We look forward to seeing each and everyone of you next summer!
