Cod fishing for Monday, Columbus Day October 10th is CANCELED!!!
Wednesday right now looks beautiful and we will set sail for cod fish at 6 am on the Gail Frances with Capt. Rich at the helm.
The report from the Gail Frances was of a poor cod trip today for the light load of fishers who came out with us. The wind came faster and stronger than forecasted and combined with a more consistent than forecasted wind swept rain, made for unpleasant conditions in which to stand at the rail. Due to these factors the Gail was in early. One keeper cod, a few short cod, some scup, a handful of unmentionables and catch and release of you know what kind of fish was all she wrote for today.
The tuna trip which just came back to the dock this afternoon was very slow. A couple of small yellow fin tuna and a few handfuls of average size mahi. Last tuna trip of the season sets sail this coming Wednesday Night at 10pm. Still some spots available if anyone wants to buy a ticket just call the office to make a reservation.
