Capt. Matt reported a solid day of Tatoug fishing today. Some fishers did limit and others were close and others did not fare as well but overall a solid effort. Longtime regular customer and exceptional rod handler Connie Tu from Warwick RI took the pool with an 8 lb tatoug today. Well done Connie! Plenty of short tog kept fishers busy at every spot sampled. Two cod fish came aboard today. Tomorrow Capt. Mike will be ready to set sail aboard the Lady Frances at 6 am.
The report from the Gail Frances was of a near boat limit of sea bass with some brutes pushing the four pound mark, a bunch nice porgies and a decent amount of nice green cod fish with sizes to 15 lbs and a fairly decent number of the cod were “gaffers” in the 7-10 lb range. Both bait and jigs caught cod fish today. Some supersize ocean perch, a couple of nice sea flounder and a few blue fish rounded out the species assortment for the day. Capt. Rich will set sail tomorrow morning at 6 am aboard the Gail Frances.
