Roger reported a solid day of tatoug fishing but definitely a step back from the red hot fishing experienced most of last week. There were a handful of folks who did easily limit out and hi hook honors went to long time regular customer Eben York from NY. Awesome job Eben! A couple of stand out fish today with another longtime regular customer and exceptional rod handler Kay Lee from Manchester CT putting a fine 11 lb plus tog in her cooler while the pool fish was a formidable 9 lbr and there were a couple of others around 8 lbs. Quite a few short tog and crazy amounts of short scup and short sea bass kept anglers very busy today as well. We had one keeper cod and a few short cod and we had a respectable amount of keeper sea bass with a few borderline jumbos (2 lbs plus) in the mix. Hi hook actually bagged a limit catch of sea bass today. A few pictures today courtesy of Roger. The Lady Frances will set sail tomorrow morning at 6 am with Capt. Mike at the helm for tatoug.
Capt. Rich reported a solid day of cod and sea bass fishing as well. Many sea bass limits recorded around the boat with sizes to nearly 5 lbs and somewhat better number of nice green cod fish with the best of the lot into the very low teens. Hi hook did box four fine cod today and a good number of the fishers aboard left with a cod or two today. Lots of super size ocean perch, a decent shot of scup, one sea flounder and hardly any unmentionables helped to make today another good one. There will be no cod trip tomorrow but the next cod/sea bass trip will set sail aboard the Gail Frances on Wednesday at 6 am.
