Captain Mike reported a great day to be out on the water. We had a very busy day with anglers taking advantage of the vacation day to get in on winter cod fishing. Some anglers did well while other watched. High hook was Patrick who went home with 7 keepers and also took the pool honors with a 10lb fish. We had more keepers then we have been averging but with the large crowd the fish were very spread out. Bait seemed to work the best. People who reported having more then 4 keeper said that heavy lead(20oz+) and just kept it hard on the bottom was the key to success today. We will have no trip tomorrow but we plan to sail at 5am on Wednesday morning. Please call the office tomorrow between 12-4 to make a reservation. Reservations are required on all winter cod trips.
