Wednesday May 8th

Captain Matt was happy to report a decent start to the fluke season. We found both keepers and shorts waiting with open mouths. We started close to home but only found shorts. We took the steam to the island and found good piles of squid and mackerel. The water temperature was 5 degrees colder at the island so we worked out way back home. High hook ended the day with 4 keepers. Pool fish was around 5 pounds. Next trip is slated for Friday but the weather is looking iffy. Always call the day before to check the weather.
