Captain Greg reported a good start to the squid season. We sail with a great group of anglers who really wanted to get in on the start of the season. We had squid coming over the rail as soon as we stopped. It wasnt an all out crush but by nights end there were smiling faces all around. High hooks did have close to a bucket with others only had a few. Something we have not seen in years on the beach was a good showing of mackerels. Some anglers who tried for the macks did very catching upwards of a bucket.
Our next squid trip is slated for Wednesday night at 7pm for reservations.
