Captain Matt called in and reported a very good day on the full day fluke boat. We had perfect drifting conditions and the fish were hungry. It was the best day of the year so far with around 60 keepers boxed. We also had plenty of action on the shorts to keep the rods bent. High hooks left with limit catches while there was a few in striking distance with 4-5 keepers. A few fish around 8 pounds battled for top pool honors. We will be sailing tomorrow morning at 7am.
Tonights squid trips is sold out. We have plenty of room on tomorrows trip at 7pm. Reservations are required and booked online.
Captain Mike reported a slower start to out half day season. The water on the beach was dirty after yesterdays gale. We did manage to pick a few keepers and around 40 shorts. The fishing on the beach should only be getting better with the amount of bait around. Both trips are scheduled to sail at 8am and 1pm tomorrow.
