Captain Rich reported another bang up day on the sea bass grounds. we had an easy boat limit of true bombers. We imposed an gentleman’s size limit of 20 inches and that was no problem. Some anglers were not keeping another unless it was over 23″. Bait and jigs worked very well. you could have thrown a spoon down and caught a double header. No trips tomorrow but Tuesday is looking great

Captain Cole reported a very good day on the blackfish grounds. Many limits around the boat with great quality fish. Many fish in the 7-9lb range with lots of life to keep rods bent. both rigs and jigs worked well. Some spots were better then others but over all it was a solid day on the water.

There will be one boat sailing at 6am on the Gail Frances for Blackfish.

Captain Cole reported an Decent day on the blackfish grounds. We had many limits around the boat but not a full limit. We had no wind to deal with all day. Captain Cole reported a great day on the blackfish grounds. The weather man really messed up the forecast and it was a very nice day. We did what we had to do and had our boat limit of fine blackfish. Jigs and rigs worked well. We do encourage everyone to try to jig because it is a blast to catch a massive white chinner on light tackle.

We would also like to wish Nick Blount a very happy 30th birthday. You may be 6000 miles away but everyone at the Frances Fleet is missing you on your special day.

Captain Cole reported an Ok day on the blackfish grounds. The less then 5 kts of wind made it hard to keep both anchors tight but we did the best with what we had. High hooks had limit catches of blackfish. Biggest fish was around 8 pounds. A few cod in the mix as well. We were swarmed by little sea bass and blackfish with some anglers reporting catching 30 fish on the trip. C

Captain Rich reported a good day as well. On the weather had it was an amazing drifting day with lots of action. PLenty of sea bass to go around and lots of smiling faces. One angler reporting catching his limit in 3 casts on the first drift.

We will only have the blackfishing boat sailing tomorrow at 6am.

Both boats will be sailing tomorrow morning at 6am and 7am. 6am for blackfishing and 7am for cod and sea bass. The office is stock with plenty of rigs and jigs from both fishery’s.

The weather was down right wondering and we drifted all day. Tomorrow is looking like more of the same and we will be sailing at 7am.Captain Cole reported a slow day on the keeper front on the blackfish grounds. We had decent action on the shorts but alot were only 1/4″short.Bait rigs and jigs worked well.
