The Frances Fleet will not be sailing Tuesday April 19th due to the weather. Hopefully the wind will start dropping out and we can get back out there. It certainly has been a tough few days with the weather,.
Friday April 15th
Capt Richie called in to say that cod fishing was a bit slower today than yesterday’s outing. The weather conditions were certainly to blame for today’s trip. The wind was definately stronger than they had predicted. But nonetheless, they picked a few nice fish and made a day of it. The weather will keep us at the dock for the weekend, unfortunately. It looks like the beginning of the week before the winds drop out. On another note, the Frances Fleet will begin fluke fishing May 7th. We will sail everyday weather permitting, 7:00 a.m. to 3:00 p.m.
EXCELLENT COD FISHING TODAY, FRIDAY APRIL 14TH ON THE LADY FRANCES!!
Capt. Rich reported an excellent day of local cod fishing on the Lady Frances today. There was action from start to finish today for the handful of anglers who enjoyed a beautiful balmy day on the ocean with conditions permitting a nice drift all day long. Most of the anglers aboard had their limits or close it like Mr. Pak having no trouble getting his limit. As has been the case nothing big with the best around ten pounds and most just great eating size keepers. One big ocean perch today otherwise it was all cod fish. Both bait and jigs were effective today and in between the great catch of keepers were plenty of shorts to keep angers busy and attentive at the rails. Capt. Rich will set sail at 6am on the LADY FRANCES.
Monday April 11
Due to the weather, the boat will not be sailing tomorrow Tuesday April 12th.
Monday April 11th
Capt. Richie reported yesterday’s cod trip was fair to decent. Anglers who worked hard with the jigs did a little bit better, although bait seemed to be working more in the morning. The catch varied from angler to angler, Capt. Richie said some people had as many as 8 keepers and as few as only 1. Plenty of throwbacks all day to keep the action going as well. The next couple of days look a bit windy, so be sure to give us a call before heading down.
GOOD COD FISHING CONTINUES AT THE FRANCES FLEET, WEATHER IS GREAT!!
Capt. Rich reported another nice day of fishing yesterday. Biggest fish ten pounds or so. Like yesterday, today’s weather is gorgeous and the Lady Frances is currently out taking advantage of it. Look for a full report of today’s fishing later today.
Friday April 8th
Capt. Richie at the helm today, for his first trip of the year with a light load of anglers onboard. Captain and crew reported another very good day of fishing. The bite seemed primarily a morning one, but anglers continued to chip away throughout the day. More than enough keepers to go around as well as throwbacks to keep everyone busy all day. Anglers used mostly bait, but a few guys used jigs and did just as well. Weekend weather looks good, finally, so grab your fishing pole and come on down. The LADY FRANCES will set sail again tomorrow morning at 6:00 a.m. with Capt. Richie. The weather for Sunday also looks very good. Call the office tomorrow and make a reservation.
LADY FRANCES SAILING FRIDAY 6AM.

RED HOT CODDING TODAY SUNDAY APRIL 3RD ABOARD THE LADY FRANCES!!
Capt. Mike reported a great day of local cod fishing with drop em and stick em fishing from start to finish today and once again the numbers of keepers which have always been good was noticeably increased today from the past couple outings with the majority of anglers aboard going home with no less than a half dozen keepers apiece and some doing noticeably better. Nothing big again with the best only seven or eight pounds but combined with the non stop action and double headers up and down and all around at times it was just a great day of early spring cod fishing on the local grounds. No fishing tomorrow due to the weather. Weather permitting we will sail daily at 6am. Be sure to call ahead to make reservations and to check on the weather.
