Great Father day weekend on the grounds. Little wet on Saturday but Sunday was picture perfect. Good fishing and smiles all around. Half day did see the best fluke action. Full day did see tons and tons of sea bass just on the smaller side. Sailing half day and full day trips every day.

Pretty decent pick the last 2 days on the full day grounds. Gulp and working up tide has been the key. Biggest fish has been just over 8 pounds. Sailing tomorrow morning and keeping an eye on Monday with the weather.

Looks like a very nice weekend coming up with plenty of room and all trips. We will be full day, half day and squid fishing this weekend.
The fluke fishing has been an OK start to the season The last 2 trips had strong tides to deal with which slowed the fishing down some. The forecast if for clam winds all weekend so it should be a good catch.
Squid fishing last night was only fair. We marked a ton from top to bottom but they were not chewing. Some anglers got it figured it out but it was just a slow chip. Should be much improved this Friday and Saturday
May 22nd
Captain Cole reported a decent pick of squid on Friday night. Some did better then others but most figured it out and went home with nice bag full. High hook had a 5 gallon bucket full. Another angler reporting they had 97 squid for the trip. Were only a short ride to the grounds and looks like another good week coming up.
Tomorrow weather looks great for the fluke grounds and we plan on sailing at 7am. Need a few more bodys to sail. Reservations booked online

Slower day on the fluke grounds today. We went back to where we have been catching and had some night drifts right off the start. As soon as it started it died. We had a slow pick of shorts but nothing to really write about. We tried a few drifts closer to shore and picked a few more but we had a 1.9kt drift. No sail tomorrow and the weekend is looking rather sloppy.
Squid fishing was good last night. The night started off with a ripping tide. Once things eased up the squid started chewing. The best action of the night was from 930-11. Anglers caught 1/2 buckets to 3/4 of a bucket. Sailing Friday night and next week.

We sailed this morning with a light crowd who wanted to get in on the early season bite. Fishing started off with a good chip until the wind picked up. Good keeper and short action till noon. High hook had a limit and a few other with 3. 2 fish right around 8 and a few in the 4-6lbrange. Gulp and eye balls worked the best.
May 14th
Should have taken mom out fishing today!! Good pick of nice qualify fluke on the Gail Frances. Sailing tomorrow at 7am
We have a much improved squid fishing this weekend. Friday night was the better night seeing 1/2 to full buckets come up. It was a pick with flurrys mixed in. Saturday saw about the same with less flurrys. Tons of squid crashing on bait balls. Should be another great week upcoming
May 13th
Sailing tomorrow morning at 7am. Light crowd and decent fishing. Was able to dial in more today and found a good body of fish to work on. Some limits around the boat but every spread out today. Gulp and eye ball jigs worked well. Same with fresh squid and fluke bellys.
