Much improved fishing today. We had an ok drift for most of the trip and anglers made the best of it . High hooks had limit catches other we only a fish or 2 off … great sign for things to come . Sailing tomorrow at 7am by reservation.

Captain Cole reported a better squid night then Wednesday. It is still slow compared to years past. We tried a bunch of areas and would only pick a small handful per drift. We still have dirty water and the moon tide to deal with.
We are out for our first fluke trip of the year and will have a full report up tonight.

We will be having our first fluke trip this coming Saturday. There is still room and there has been reports of fishing showing up locally.
We had out first squid trip last night and it was not what we were hoping for. We had chocolate milk water and string tides all night. We picked here and there but never anything to work on. We did mark all spots we tried but nothing wanted to chew. We will be back out Friday and Saturday

We have one more week of codfishing left until the fall. Fishing has been tough but there seems to be more fishing showing up on jigs.
We will start fluke fishing daily the first week in May. If this really slow we will take a little time for them to get closer. The commerical guys are finding them but just out of our reach for a day trip.
There has also been more mark showing up on the beach which we are hoping will be an early start to the squid season. We will start this coming Saturday at 7pm. We dont know what were going to find to start it off but were gonna give it a go. last year things started out great so fingers crossed

We were able to sneak out to the cod grounds yesterday with a light crowd. We tried both rock piles and wrecks, drifting and anchored but it was slower fishing. We picked away some keepers and then got hammered by dogfish at the end of the day. We are sailing when we get a break in the weather. Its looking very windy going in to Wednesday but the end of the week is shaping up nicely.

We had a slower day on the cod grounds today. We tried a few zones close to Island and found some life but nothing to really work on. We did have some short action in the mix bt it was still very slow. This upcoming week look very windy.
Unfortunately we had to cancel tomorrows trip due to a mechanical issue. All reservations have been notified by email

Had a nice day on the water but much slower fishing then we had on Saturday. We found a few fish anchor up on bait. Talked a few boats who were drifting and jigging and seeing some more fish. We tried some drift and found a few but nothing solid to work on. No sail tomorrow but back on Tuesday.
