Captain Cole reported a much improved day on the cod grounds. We had fish on both bait and jigs. Few good shots of fish and some slow points but nice to see fish ever where we tried. Best actions did see 10 keepers boated in 15 mins. Sailing tomorrow morning at 6am on the LADY by reservation.

A few photos from Saturdays trip. We took a ride and found some fish on wrecks and rock piles. It was great but it was a good sign to see some cod after the blow. Jigs and bait but had cod fish. Thursday December 29th
We had some tough fishing and tough weather days the past few days but things are looking up for the end of the year. Tuesday and Wednesday were some of the slowest trips of the year. The weather was wrong and the fishing was tough. we picked away on a few sea bass, cunners and cod but nothing like we want to see. Today did see an improvement with the weather and fishing. Tomorrow and Saturday are looking great and we will be sailing with a few spots to check out. Sailing at 6am

December 21st
Captain Cole reported a very nice day in late December on the grounds. Its amazing what 24 hours makes this time of the year. 7ft seas to flat as a pond in 24 hours. We had a great group of anglers who wanted to get out and get some fish for the freezer. We took the long ride and it was only OK. We had to pick through the pin sea bass to make a day out of it. We did seem more cod life around with the cooler temperatures. We did mark stacks of fish but they seemed to have lockjaw before the storm or maybe there were waiting for Christmas dinner. We will be tied to the dock till after Christmas and keeping an eye on the weather for the following week. Long range forecast does have some fishable days before the end of the year.
December 20th
We will be sailing tomorrow morning on our winter combo trip at 6am on the Lady.
Captain Cole reported a slower day on the grounds. The weather man got it wrong again with the morning starting out gusting 30 and sea around 7 foot. We were able to anchor up on some pieces and pick away on a mixed bag. We found a good number of sea bass but alot were just under keep. Decent action but not keepers. Those who stuck with the grabs managed togs. High hook boated a limit of December tog. as the day went on the ocean layed down and tomorrow looks perfect with winds 5kts forecasted. Might be the last trip before Christmas
December 19th
Weather looks great for the next 2 days. Come on down and fill your freezer before the end of the sea bass and tog season. December 16th
Yet another windy weekend ahead of us. Tomorrow Saturday is canceled due to wind. Keeping an eye on Sunday.
December 13th
Captain Cole reported a decent catch on the blackfish grounds. We didn’t know what to expect after the past few days of heavy wind and seas.. We tried some shallow spots and the water temperature dropped a few degrees and it was a very slow bite. We went deeper to look for the bigger tog. We had fish up to 10 pounds just not many of them. We found some hungry sea bass and a few cod mixed in with the tog. Dont think the seasons over yet but we need a few days of nice weather.
