COD FISHING REPORT FOR SUNDAY JANUARY 30TH 2010 Capt. Mike reported a decent day of local cod fishing. The fishing was a bit more relaxed than some previous trips but nonetheless a very pleasant quantity of nice green cod were boated. It was a chip most of the day with fish just about everywhere but while the cod showed well on the sounder they were a bit more picky about eating today so some finese was required to put together a good catch. A few angler hi lights include Mr. Vasilies Zarras who took home 9 nice cod and split the pool with Mr. Gene Kelly (both had fish around 15lbs) and Gene put a half dozen fine green cod in his cooler. There were a few ling and a couple ocean pout and the bite was predominately on bait. Capt. Mike is out there today so look for a fresh cod report a bit later this afternoon.
