Summer is a busy time here on the coast. Please plan on summer traffic especially on the weekend if traveling from far away.
We depart from 33 State Street, Narragansett RI 02882. Use this for GPS but please read the directions on the bottom once you turn onto the Galilee Escape Rd. Be sure to make the right at the end and then the left onto State Street then into the parking area. GPS gets a little confusing at the end.
FROM SOUTH OF RHODE ISLAND: approximately 1 hour from Route 95 N – in Connecticut exit 92)
Take Route 95 North to Connecticut exit 92 (Sign reads for Routes 2 & 49). At the end of the exit ramp, make a right onto Route 2 East. Follow for 1.1 miles to Route 78 East. Follow 78 to the end of it. At the light, turn left onto Route 1 North. Continue for approximately 18 miles to the Point Judith Exit (Route 108 South). Now follow the directions below*
FROM NORTH OF RHODE ISLAND: Approximately 45 minutes from exit 9 on Route 95 S.
Take Route 95 South to Exit 9 (exit is on the left side of the highway) to Route 4. Follow Route 4 South to Route 1 South. Proceed to the Point Judith Exit. Now follow the directions below*
* FROM POINT JUDITH EXIT:
Make a right off the exit ramp. Continue to the second light and make a right onto Route 108 South. (a large shopping plaza containing a Super Stop & Shop, AAA Building, Citizens Bank are in the plaza). Follow Route 108 South for approximately 3 miles …5 lights. Immediately following the FISHERMEN’S MEMORIAL STATE PARK (on your right), take a right at the light onto the Galilee Escape Road. At the end, make a right turn and then an immediate left on State Street. There is a brown shingled building for Town Dock on the corner. Do not go over the bridge! Parking is on the right. Come into the first floor of the gray building on the right to check in for your trip and get your tickets. The boats are in front. There is free parking by the building and the lot on the right you drove past. There usually is room but if full there is paid parking down the street. Our ½ day fishing trips get in at 12:00 and often spots will open as they leave.
