Capt. Rich reported another great day of fluking with a hefty mix of sea bass and a great turnout of fishing enthusiasts once again today to enjoy a picturesque weather day on the water. Nearly 140 good size keeper fluke and over 50 good size sea bass hit the decks of the Gail Frances today. There were many limit catches on the fluke including Billy Tevere from NJ, Billy’s friend Mike Galvin who also had the pool winning 8lb slab, and Peter Tu just to name a few of the anglers who limited out. Peter Tu was also hi hook on the sea bass putting 7 of them in his cooler for the day to go along with the flatties. Hi lo spros were king today for numbers and size. About half of the keepers today were fish over 4lbs. Capt. Rich looks forward to another good day tomorrow with the Gail Frances set to sail at 7am.
Capt. Kieth reported the morning half day was good with a nice mess of keepers to 5.5lbs and a handsome handful of sea bass to go along with the fluke. Plenty of shorts and sea robins kept things busy as well. Tomorrow the sailing schedule has the half days setting sail at 8am and again at 4pm.
Capt. Mike reported the Sal Edwards group enjoyed a beautiful summer day on the water with a nice mix of good size fluke and a pleasant mix of jumbo sea bass. Biggest fluke was 5lbs and biggest sea bass was probably around 4lbs or a bit bigger.
