JULY 27th Whale Cod

Captain Frank sailed to day on the CAPTAIN FRANCES for a family cod expedition. The handful of anglers onboard were treated to cod up to 44 pounds. Chirs K caught his biggest cod that he has ever caught in RI waters. The 44 pound codfish was caught on a jig and tube. Christine Blount had a nice 20 pound on the same drift. There were cod flying over the rails. We had a few double headers with most fish in th 5 to 8 pound range. There were cod caught on every drop. Cory and Chris teamed up for nearly 20keepers between. Not bad for 2 and a half hours of fishin them. All in all it was a great day on the water and a treat to see so many nice green cod. Looks like Captain Frank hasn’t lost his touch.
