Capt. Mike reported a very good PM half day evening trip last night with an excellent number of keepers of which about half were over 4lbs with the biggest taken by Capt. Mike himself with a slab that went 10.4lbs. Hi hook took home four or five nice keepers. A few hefty sea bass mixed in as well.
Capt. Chris reported an excellent 8am full day trip today with everyone on board getting 2 to 6 good size fluke apiece and everyone also getting several nice sea bass apiece to go along with the summer flatties. Now that is some hefty bags of fillets and some good fishing!! The sea bass were generally over 2lbs with the best around 5lbs while the fluke were all nice keepers with the best just under 5lbs. Capt. Chris reported that green was the hot color but all terminal gear including rental rods produced good catches of both fluke and sea bass today. The pool fish today was a fine 12lb Striper taken by a regular customer and it was caught on a spro jig. Capt. Mike looks forward to another good day tomorrow with the 8am full day boat set to sail on the Admiral Frances.
Capt. Mike reported that today’s 7am full day trip saw a great turnout of enthusiastic anglers who put together a nice mess of good szie fluke to at least 7lbs and a few handfuls of nice sea bass. There was no word of any limit catches but a handful of anglers did have four to six nice fluke apiece to take home for their efforts. Capt. Rich looks forward to another good day tomorrow with the 7am boat set to sail aboard the Gail Frances.
