Capt. Rich reported another awesome day of fishing for a very modest group of anglers. Over 150 keeper fluke including many many jumbos over 5lbs and more than 100 big sea bass up to at least 4lbs filled the anglers bags and coolers today on the Gail Frances. Again there were many many limits of both fluke and sea bass today and quite a few of the anglers aboard were limited out on both!! This may just be about the best season ever for both species and there have been some good summers in season’s past. Based on the sheer number sound logic would dictate that just about anything with a hook floating around on the bottom would get one dinner. Jim Izzo of Westbrook CT took the day’s pool with another slob of a fluke that checked in at 10.6lb doormatt. Well done Jim! Capt. Rich will be at it again tomorrow with the Gail Frances set to sail at 7am.
The 1pm half day report just came in as well and it was quite good with a great turnout of fluke enthusiasts putting a great catch of keepers on to the deck of the Admiral Frances and about half of these fish being of the jumbo category (over 4lbs). Pool fish was 8lbs. Tomorrow is a three trip half day schedule with trips setting sail at 8am 1pm and 4pm. Remember if one does two half days in the same day he or she can recieve ten dollars off the second one.
Plenty of room on tomorrow night’s Striper trip so if interested please call the office for booking details.
