Capt. Rich reported that despite the torrential rains yesterday the fishing for those who stayed at the rail was simply fantastic with full limits easily met for anglers such as Steve from Florida who had 5 big sea bass to 4lbs to go along with his limit catch of fluke including several that were in the jumbo category.
On Today’s 7am full day boat once again the fishing was awesome with lots of big fluke and big sea bass to please anglers. There were no monsters the past two trips but today’s pool fish taken by Peter Spungin from West Hartford Ct was 7lbs and like yesterday there were many fish in the 4 to 5.5lb range. Peter easily had his limit of sharp toothed flatties and 8 big sea bass to go along with them. A good number of other anglers today easily limited out on good size fluke and took home anywhere from a few to nearly a dozen big sea bass apiece. Biggest sea bass for the day in the 4.5 to 5lb range. Just a couple blue fish and one or two good size porgies today to top off the great catch of fluke and sea bass. What a year!! This has to be up there with any other season taking size and numbers of keeper fish overall since this trip started sailing back in May. As stated in the headlines there is no 8am full day tomorrow so the 7am full day trip will set sail on the LADY FRANCES WEDNESDAY MORNING AT 7AM with Capt. Rich.
