7-4 Full Day:
Captain Richie reported a good day of fishing on the Gail Frances today. Despite a slow start, by the end of the day, several anglers had caught their limit of fluke. A good number of black seabass made their way over the rails, as well. A noteworthy fish was caught by Walter from Wallingford, CT: a 31 incher weighing in at about 12 lbs! The father & daughter Konkol team enjoyed their day as well, with a good number of decent-sized fluke and seabass to take home. According to them, it was a beautiful day on the ocean with lots of action – both in the short and keeper departments.
The Gail Frances is scheduled to sail again at 7am tomorrow morning, so if you’re interested in some of this jumbo fluke action, come on down!
8-12 Half Day:
Captain Chris reported a decent morning half day aboard the Lady Frances. A good mix of short and keeper fluke and seabass kept anglers busy. Deckhand Chris L & his daughter Rose enjoyed the morning, especially after landing a nice 7 lb fluke!
1-5 Half Day:
Captain George reported that the mid-day half day was a little on the slower side, likely due to the changing weather conditions. The stiff wind contributed to a very rapid drift, making it hard to hold bottom. Nevertheless, anglers managed to land a few nice fish, most in the 22 inch range.
Tomorrow, we’ll be sailing at 8am, 1pm and 4pm for half day fishing once again.
