Capt. Rich reported a great day on the water with excellent fishing and great weather. The sea bass were the big story today and many of the anglers aboard limited out on big sea bass up to 4lbs. An excellent number of fluke today as well, especially considering that it is mid September! Biggest fluke was 8 plus pounds again today. A few blue fish and a nice pile of “scupzillas” with sizes on the behemoth porgies frequently approaching three pounds! Just a great day on the water with bent rods all day long and big bags of fillets for many good meals to come for the all the anglers aboard. Capt. Rich looks forward to another fine day of fishing tomorrow with the Gail Frances set to sail at 7am for mixed bag BI bottom fishing.
Capt. Ray reported the same fishing today on the BI grounds as yesterday. Scup to 3lbs, Big sea bass to well over 4lbs and a few other assorted groundfish and a few blue fish to add a little variety to the many limit or near limit catches of super size porgies around the decks of the Admiral Frances today. Capt. Ray looks forward to another good day of fishing and weather tomorrow with the Admiral Frances set to sail at 8am for jumbo Block Island Porgies!
