First and foremost a last minute weather update decision has just been made at 440pm by Capt. Mike to CANCEL tomorrow’s tog trip. We had thought earlier that we could get the trip in but with the upgrade to Gale Warnings even now on the black fish grounds this means there is no trip. Obviously there is NO COD boat for tomorrow as well due to the gale warnings. Tuesday looks much better and the Lady Frances will be set to sail at 7am with Capt. Mike.
Capt. Mike reported there was no shortage of fresh air today on the first tog/sea bass/scup trip of the season. True to form to a mild extent the tatoug did not totally let us down as the first handful of nice keepers made their way onto the decks of the Lady Frances. Anglers had much more action with some nice sea bass and good size scup today. Considering the very less than ideal conditions the day was not a total loss but we certainly are looking forward to better once the wind finally lets go for Tuesday.
