Capt. Mike reported a very respectable day with the tog today despite some rather less respectably windy conditions. Nevertheless the anglers aboard did manage to chip away at some very impressive black fish today with the biggest tog taken a behemoth 12lb chinner alas the fine gentleman who caught this epic tog was not in the pool so the pool was a balance contest between two cod that were both over ten pounds! Both nice green fish. There were at least a few limit catches today including Jacob from NJ who is one of the best tog anglers I have ever seen. There were a number of anglers who were not far behind as well amassing several nice size tog to put in their coolers. Not quite as many shorts today. There was also a scant sprinkling of nice size sea bass and Jacob also had three of those to go along with his limit catch of tog. All in all considering the conditions it was a good day and Capt. Mike will be back out tomorrow with the Lady Frances set to sail at 6am.
Capt. Rich will be set to sail tomorrow morning at 7am for local cod and sea bass on the Gail Frances. For the most part the fishing has been quite decent and we hope for another good report tomorrow.
