Capt. Mike reported a solid day of codfish action today despite some harrowing drifting conditions. Nevertheless the anglers aboard managed to chip away at some nice green cod with sizes into the low teens. Both bait and jigs were equally effective today although the people using the jigs enjoyed much cleaner fishing. Quite a few mackerel including a few good size ones to mix in with the nice green cod along with a few good size ocean perch. Just about everyone had two to six nice green cod apiece to take home today. A big pile of pics will appear from the last two days above today’s reports courtesy Roger, Cory and Capt. Mike. Weather sounds great for tomorrow before the storm later in the week and Capt. Mike will be ready to set sail on the Lady Frances at 5am. Cory will have the office open around or just after 4am for check ins and tackle sales.
A special note regarding this past Sunday and Monday’s cod trips. There was a father/son duo who fished with us both days and who left their fillets behind. Capt. Mike has safely and neatly stored the fish for them. If they would kindly contact us as soon as possible to let us know if they can come to pick up the fillets. Please call the office during normal business hours 9am to 430pm.
