Captain Mike called in to say it was a good day on the local cod grounds. The light snow this morning scared some people away but the skeleton crew of anglers left the dock in search of some winter kings. As soon as Mike got to the grounds the fish were waiting with mouths open. High hook managed to box 7 keepers with most anglers having 5 a piece. There was a decent amount of just short cod that were returned to swim another day. Some baseball bat sized ling rounded out the catch for the day. The wind from the last week seemed to blow alot of the dogfish off shore and only a few “grey ghosts” managed to find the fresh clams. The boat is scheduled to sail tomorrow morning at 5am. If you would like to go please call the office before 7pm tonight and book your spot. The office will open tomorrow morning at 4am for ticket and tackle sales.
